Beijing has escalated the trade war with the US once again, announcing 84 per cent tariffs on American goods coming into China. The US had imposed 84 per cent tariffs on Chinese goods, bringing the total import taxes introduced against China since Donald Trump’s inauguration to 104%. Chinese state media is also reporting that the country has filed a lawsuit in the World Trade Organisation regarding the latest US tariffs.
