PM Modi in Europe LIVE| Copenhagen | Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday arrived in Denmark on the second leg of his three-nation Europe trip. As a special gesture, Danish Prime Minister Frederiksen received PM Modi at the airport. PM Modi held talks with his Danish counterpart Mette Frederiksen and will also attend the 2nd India-Nordic Summit.
It is PM Modi's first visit to Denmark, where he will take part in bilateral and multilateral engagements on Tuesday and Wednesday. Modi arrived in Copenhagen from Germany where he held detailed bilateral discussions with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and co-chaired the India-Germany inter-governmental consultations.

China has raised tariffs on US goods to 125% as the trade war with the US over Donald Trump's global tariffs escalates.

Beijing faces a 145% levy on some of its goods imported to the US.

President Xi Jinping called on the EU to join Beijing in opposing "bullying" from the US, and said "there are no winners in a tariff war".

Despite this, Donald Trump said he is still hoping to secure a deal with Beijing, adding they would "end up working something out that's very good for both countries".

Amazon sellers are reeling amid Trump's 125% tariffs on Chinese goods, telling CNBC they will need to raise prices and could go out of business. Up to 70% of goods on Amazon are imported from China. Seven of the eight U.S.-based Amazon sellers CNBC talked to said that manufacturing in the U.S. isn't financially possible, despite tariffs. One positive: Trump did close a loophole that was helping direct-from-China sellers on Temu and Shein undercut U.S. seller prices. The "de minimis" exemption that allowed goods under $800 to avoid all taxes and duties will end on May 2.

Update: On April 10, 2025, the White House clarified to CNBC that tariffs on imports from China now effectively total 145%.

NASA has confirmed that more than 5,000 exoplanets exist outside our solar system, which is just a fraction of the likely hundreds of billions in our galaxy. The Exoplanet Archive, states that 35% are Neptune-like, 31% were identified as "Super-Earths," 30% as gas giants and only 4% are terrestrial.
